Since 1995 Weighing Technologies, Inc. has provided high quality weighing systems as well as calibration, maintenance and emergency services. With over 170 years of combined experience in the industry, Weigh Tech is equipped to solve any weighing applications, as well as drum filler applications, conveyor systems, dock levelers, and hydraulic lifts. Locally owned and operated, our mission is to provide a service to our customers beyond their expectations. Weighing Technologies, Inc. is specially equipped to help our customers every step of the way, from troubleshooting, ordering and all the way to installation. We supply industrial, medical, food processing, retail, farm and ranch, and laboratory weighing equipment, drum fillers, dock levelers, conveyor systems, and hydraulic lift, along with peripheral devices and supplies.

We employ a staff of technicians available for scale installation, maintenance and calibration, as well as drum filler, conveyor system, dock leveler and hydraulic lift installation and maintenance. All this to ensure proper functioning of all customer serviced equipment for years to come. Weigh Tech keeps up with all rapidly changing technology as well as changes in regulations administered by the National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST).

WHAT IS “WEIGH TECH” LOOKING FOR?

  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to work varied hours including weekend/holidays and travel to customer locations with occasional overnight travel.
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime (nights/weekends) to satisfy customer needs
  • Ability to work under pressure, alone and as part of a team, in variable working environments including the outdoors in inclement weather
  • Must be able to lift, push, and pull 50+lbs on a regular basis
  • Ability to enter manhole openings 22” in diameter and crawl in confined spaces (scale pits)
  • Ability to kneel for prolonged periods to perform scale tasks
  • Represent yourself and Weigh Tech in a positive, professional and ethical manner towards customers, co-workers, and vendors.
  • Detail oriented to accurately process paperwork within specified deadlines
  • Basic knowledge of computer and software. (Familiar with TCP/IP communications, serial communication, and basic software installation. Understanding programming languages a plus.)
  • Network and PLC experience desired but not required
  • Must be able to pass State test for Technician scale license thru TX Dept. Agriculture within 90 days
  • Electronics and mechanical experience a plus
  • Welding experience is desired but not required
  • Must possess a valid TX Driver’s License
  • Must possess a CDL (class B) or willingness to obtain CDL license within 90 days
  • Ability to read and understand maintenance manuals and work from blueprints, drawings, installing weighing equipment, wiring terminations, final testing and calibration of systems to ensure that they are properly functioning
  • Must be 21 years of age, with a minimum 5 years driving experience
  • Must be able to pass background check, breath alcohol, urine & hair drug screens and physical (pre-employment and as required thru safety program)
  • Ability to attend formal technical training (including out of state)
